Who will win IRE Women vs NED Women, ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier ?
Ireland will look to prove their superiority over the Netherlands again when they two teams meet in Group B of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier at Forthill, Dundee. The match takes place on September 1 and the live action is scheduled to start at 14:00 local time.
Ireland made a winning start to their qualification campaign, beating Namibia by seven wickets as they look to qualify for their final tournament for the second consecutive time. Eimear Richardson led the bowling, taking 2-10 as they restricted Namibia to 83/9 before the Irish cruised to a seven-wicket win.
The Netherlands, meanwhile, arrived at this tournament on the back of a poor run of form and that continued in their rain-affected first game – when they posted 46/5 from nine overs against Thailand, chasing 77 to win.
After beating the Netherlands in the quadrangular series in Deventer earlier this year, and then being well placed to beat them again in their most recent game – which was curtailed by the rain – the Irish are very much favourites to win this one.
