Ireland and India begin their two match IT20 series on Sunday afternoon and early evening at The Village, Malahide. This is the fourth time the sides have played each other in this format with India winning all previous games. Ireland’s last IT20 was in February against UAE with India playing out a 2-2 draw with South Africa at home earlier this month. Read on as we preview this IT20. This fixture begins at 16:30 local time.
Ireland have grown as an international force over the last two decades but still struggle against the top nations. This will be a massive test for the home side.
India have arrived in Ireland with a mixed squad including experienced names alongside some up and coming players. The conditions may be slightly different than at home but we still expect India to dominate.

The home side have selected two uncapped players in their squad for this series. Top-order batter Stephen Doheny and pace bowler Conor Olphert are not expected to be selected for either game but will benefit from the experience. There are no injury worries in the home squad.

Rishabh Pant captained India during the IT20 series against South Africa but has been rested for this series. Dinesh Karthik will keep wicket with Hardik Pandya leading the team. Although India are without many big names, they still have some exceptional players to call upon.
India looked weak in their opening IT20s against South Africa but turned the series around. They are always a dangerous team in any conditions in any format.
