Ridley Jacobs is the stand-out of the two wicket-keepers when you consider their professional careers, and at 8.5 credits he looks good value behind the stumps.

Batsmen

While you have to base your team on past performances to a large extent, it is easy to see why Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara and Yuvraj Singh all cost ten credits or more. It is possible to afford them, however, particularly as another star attraction – Shivnarine Chanderpaul – is just 8.5 credits.

All-rounders

Further credits can be saved on the all-rounders, where Sanjay Bangar is just eight credits – though Irfan Pathan and Carl Hooper do justify their nine-credit pricetags if they produce performances like they used to. 

Bowlers

Zaheer Khan is nine credits and of all the players on show, he has performed at a high level more recently. Munaf Patel and Tino Best have proved popular choices at 8.5 credits, while Adam Sanford is eight credits and could prove top value. Spin bowlers are worth considering too, however, given there is less risk of them having lost pace over time.

Captain/Vice-captain

Sachin Tendulkar is the tournament’s star attraction, but Brian Lara could outshine him in the opener if his recent Bushfire Bash form is an indicator. Zaheer Khan has recently taken wickets in the Abu Dhabi T10 League too, so he looks a good option as well.
