India vs Zimbabwe 1st T20: Who Will Win?
After a 3-0 clean sweep of the hosts in the ODI series, India will now take on Zimbabwe in the 3-match T20 series. The first T20 will be played on June 18 at the Harare Sports Club and live action will begin at 1 PM local time. India are likely to retain the same playing XI while Zimbabwe will want to make a few changes following their drubbing in the ODI series.

Venue and Toss
There have been only two first-innings scores in excess of 150 in the last five T20Is played at the Harare Sports Club. These were achieved by India and New Zealand in their respective tours last year. So unless a team bats poorly here, a good total in the first innings should be around 160-170.
The venue has witnessed 13 T20Is so far, of which 10 have been won by the side batting first. Moreover, the last eight games have all been won by the team that has put up runs on the board first. So the toss-winning captain might prefer setting a target for the opposition.
India, with their top-order in good form, will be difficult to beat if they win the toss. Zimbabwe could be in with a chance if they win the toss and set up a stiff target for India.

If ZIM Bat First
Predicted score: Around 120
Hamilton Masakadza averages a little over 30 in T20Is, and Zimbabwe will expect him to play a big knock on Saturday. Vusi Sibanda batted well in the ODI series and he should be backed to top-score for his side. If the hosts don't lose too many wickets early on, they should get to 120 with Raza and Chigumbura in the middle-order.
Sran and Kulkarni could be the opening bowlers for India and they will target Masakadza from the start. Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker in the ODI series and he should be backed to bag the most wickets for his side. Chahal will also be a major threat with his leg-breaks, and it will be very difficult for Zimbabwe to reach 120 if they keep losing wickets.

Predicted score: 150 and Above
Faiz Fazal's fifty on his ODI debut might earn him a place in the T20 series. KL Rahul is almost certain to open again. He has been India's best batsman in this tour and is likely to make the most runs for his team in the first T20. Rayudu is also in good form and he hasn't been dismissed even once. If India's top three bat for at least 10 overs, Zimbabwe could be chasing over 160.
The Zimbabwean bowlers will have to raise their game if they are to challenge this Indian batting lineup. Tendai Chatara could be given the new ball and he is the only bowler who has somewhat managed to trouble the Indians. If he gets some movement off the pitch, he might pick up a wicket or two at the start of the innings. Spinners Raza and Cremer could apply more pressure and restrict India under 150 if Zimbabwe's faster bowlers succeed in taking early wickets.
Our Prediction
The last time India toured Zimbabwe in 2015, the T20 series was shared 1-1. Head-to-head at the Harare Sports Club, India have a better record with three wins and one loss in the four T20Is. The way India have played in the ODI series, the hosts are going to have their work cut out for sure. If Zimbabwe are to create an upset on Saturday, their best bet will be to take the first three wickets quickly and exert pressure on the following batsmen who haven't had a hit so far in this tour.
Zimbabwe may have a win over India in their last T20I against them at this ground, but we're predicting India to win the first of the 3-match T20 series.
