Can the Kiwis Win their Maiden ODI Series in India?
New Zealand scored 260 after opting to bat first in the fourth one-day international at Ranchi and then successfully defended it to win the match by 19 runs and level the five-game series 2-2. The fifth and the deciding match of the series will be played on October 29 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Live action is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM local time.

Venue and Toss
Only five ODIs have been played so far at Visakhapatnam and all have seen scores above 250 and close to 300 in the first innings. This includes the 356 made by India in the first of these games against Pakistan in 2005. This suggests great batting conditions and since 292 is the highest successful chase here, the team that bats first will look to have the psychological advantage of 300-mark.
'Win the toss and field first' has been the general trend at this ground. Since the last four games here, teams have elected to bat second after winning the toss and have gone on to win the match each time. So whoever wins the toss on Saturday is more likely to chase.

Predicted Score: Around 300
Rohit Sharma's extended period of poor outings is hurting India really bad. So as has been the case so far in this series, the likes of Rahane, Kohli and Dhoni are going to be relied upon to score the big runs and take India to the predicted score. Kohli is the man in brilliant form. He is the leading run-scorer in this series as well as at this ground and we expect him to make a major contribution in this match.
India's opening pair will have to be watchful against New Zealand's new-ball bowlers - Tim Southee and Trent Boult. Southee has dismissed Rohit Sharma on two consecutive occasions now and has a good chance of picking him up again. The seamer has taken seven wickets so far which is the most by any Kiwi bowler in this series. Mitchell Santner hasn't been among the wickets but he has done a fabulous job in keeping a check on India's run-rate.

If NZ Bat First
Predicted Score: Around 280
They will be relieved to see Martin Guptill back among the runs in the last game. He and Tom Latham stitched a 96-run partnership for the opening wicket and they will be expected to provide a flying start again. Latham has been the more consistent of the two and we predict him to top-score in this match. A strong start from the openers and a good knock from Williamson should propel New Zealand to around 280.
They will be facing Umesh Yadav first up. The fast bowler had taken three wickets in his only match at this ground in 2011 and has picked up seven in this series. So he will be India's best bet to break the Kiwi opening stand. Spinners Kedar Jadhav and Amit Mishra will look to slow things down in the middle overs. Mishra is the leading wicket-taker in the series with ten wickets and he will be the biggest obstacle for the New Zealand batsmen.

New Zealand will be playing an ODI at Visakhapatnam for the first time. India have played here five times in the past, recording wins on the first four occasions and losing the last one to the West Indies in 2013. So this has been a good hunting ground for the hosts who will also have the benefit of knowing the ground conditions better than the tourists.
The win in the previous game is certainly going to lift the spirits in the Kiwi camp. 260 was always going to be hard to defend against a stellar Indian batting lineup but their bowlers responded well and won the match for their team. New Zealand know if they can work on their middle-order jitters, they could have the series in the bag on Saturday.
New Zealand will be taking a lot of confidence from their win in the last game and the pressure is now right back on India. But we feel the latter will come better prepared and win this final ODI and hence the series.
