IND vs ENG 2nd Test Prediction & Betting Tips
Carrying on their juggernaut, England thrashed India by 227 runs to take an early lead in the series.
With their back against the ball, can Virat Kohli's men halt England's winning run? Find out as we preview the second Test between India and England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match gets underway on 13th February at 9:30 AM local time.
Not many people would have anticipated England's win in the first Test but Joe Root's men, against all odds, pulled off a stunning victory to take a 1-0 in the series. The star for England in the 1st Test was none other their skipper Joe Root who smashed a magnificent double hundred to bat India out of the game. This was Root's second double hundred in three games. The kind of form he's in, Indian think-tank will be under serious pressure to come up with a strategy to get him out cheaply.
Other than him, Dominic Sibley, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope also had a decent game. At this moment, England looks very strong but we believe that if Root fails, other batsmen will crumble under pressure. As a bowling unit, England were outstanding. James Anderson has looked in prime touch. However, he won’t be the part of the England squad in the next game. Dom Bess will also not be available. England will go in with an pretty untested bowling attack in Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Jack Leach and Olly Stone
After their heroics in Australia, the expectations from India were skyrocketing. However, they were pretty ordinary in the series opener. Apart from Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant, none of the batsmen looked assured as they surrendered to some class English bowling. However, one poor performance doesn't make them a bad team. They still have a pretty decent team that'll come back harder in the next game. Cheteshwar Pujara looked pretty good in the first game. He'll be a key wicket for India. He had a fabulous tour of Australia and the way he's started in this series, we think that a big knock is just around the corner.
Shubman Gill also stroked a brisk 50 in the second inning. He's also in some fine form. Then there is Rishabh Pant, the dangerous Pant who looks to be at his prime form. Virat Kohli played one match in Australia and smashed a solid 50. In the previous game as well, he had a 50 to his name. While he's getting runs, it's rare to see Kohli not converting his starts into big hundreds. He looked good for a big one in the last inning but a peach from Stokes got the better of him. This is a cause of concern but the Indian captain will be aware of this. He's one of the greatest batsmen of this era and we're pretty sure a big hundred is not far away.
India played Shahbaz Nadeem ahead of Kuldeep which proved to be a costly move. For sure they'll replace him with Axar Patel. Kuldeep is also a possibility but Patel will be their preferred pick. The trio of Bumrah, Ishant and Ashwin had a decent game. They bowled pretty well, even in the first innings but the support bowlers let them down.
Overall, England were underdogs in the 1st match but the way they played in the opening Test, they're now on par with India. However, we still think that if India can get Root early, England will find it hard to challenge India. The home conditions will be an advantage to Kohli's men. We'll stick will India as the winners of this match.

IND vs ENG Toss Prediction
Toss is always very important in India. You don't want to chase on a turning pitch. Team that wins the toss will bat for sure.
Weather Report
The weather will be pleasant throughout the match.
Pitch Condition
If the match is played on the same surface that was used in the first Test, then batting won't be that easy as we saw that there was some variable bounce in the wicket. Also, the wicket would be dry that'll allow the ball to turn from the 1st day itself. In case of a new pitch, it'll be same as the one we saw in the first Test, good for batting

🏆 India vs England Prediction
Even though India lost the match we think they will come back harder in the next match. They have a very strong team. They'll probably get Axar or Kuldeep in their team that will make them more stable. If they can get Root early, England batsmen can crumble under pressure
