Who will win India vs Australia, 3rd ODI 2020?
It is still all to play for in this ODI series as India and Australia move to Bangalore for the final game of the three-match showdown. The series concludes at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on January 19 and the final match is scheduled to start at 13:30 local time.
Australia started the series in dominant form, with Aaron Finch and David Warner’s unbroken 258-run opening partnership seeing them to a ten-wicket win. They could not repeat those heroics last time out, but Steve Smith fell just two runs short of becoming Australia’s third centurion of the tour.
India hit back with a vastly-improved batting performance, however. Shikhar Dhawan (96), Virat Kohli (78) and KL Rahul (80) all played their part in a total of 340/6 and they bowled Australia out for 304 in reply to take the series to its deciding match.

India Team News & Playing 11
IND Team News
India solved their dilemma of which of Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma to pick by re-jigging the batting order. KL Rahul moved down the order, allowing Virat Kohli to bat at three and the re-shuffle paid dividends as India posted 340/6. Rahul could continue behind the stumps too, with Rishabh Pant having suffered concussion in the first game. Navdeep Saini stepped into the team and took two wickets last time out too.
IND Key Players
Virat Kohli: Back up to number three last time out and took full advantage as he hit 78 from 76 balls and shared a century stand with Shikhar Dhawan. It was his 56th ODI half-century, while he has also hit 43 centuries.
Shikhar Dhawan: Has an excellent record against Australia, which he has maintained in this series with scores of 74 and 96 – his 28th and 29th ODI half-centuries.
Jasprit Bumrah: Proved why he is the world’s number one bowler as he bowled two maidens and claimed a deserved final wicket to finish with figures of 1-32 last time out.
IND Team Form
India are looking to win an ODI series 2-1 for the second consecutive time, having done the same against West Indies. A crushing defeat first up, losing by ten wickets, did not set the tone as India bounced back last time out.
Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul all hit big half-centuries and Rohit Sharma was out just short as India posted 340/6. All five bowlers then took wickets as they bowled Australia out for 304 in reply.
India Predicted Playing 11
Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Manish Pandey, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav

AUS Team News
Australia stuck with the same XI last time out, which was no surprise after their big opening win, but Peter Handscomb and Josh Hazlewood are among those pushing for a recall for the series decider.
AUS Key Players
David Warner: Started the series with his 18th ODI century, moving beyond 5,000 ODI runs in national record-quick time in the process.
Steve Smith: Sat in his pads as Warner and Finch stole the show in the opening game, before taking his chance to shine last time out – hitting 98 from 102 balls at number three. He was out just short of a ninth ODI century as he closes in on 4,000 runs in the format.
Adam Zampa: Took 3-50 last time out in his 50th ODI appearance, to move to 69 wickets in the format and a turning wicket in Bangalore will help him out.
AUS Team Form
This is Australia’s first ODI series since the 2019 Cricket World Cup and they started it in dominant form – the Aussies skittling India for 255 before David Warner and Aaron Finch hit an unbeaten century in a ten-wicket win.
They could not cope with the Indian batting last time out, however. The hosts set 341 to win and, despite Steve Smith’s 98, Australia were all out for 304.
Australia Predicted Playing 11

India vs Australia Head to Head
Australia missed out on a fifth consecutive ODI win in India when they fell to 304 all out in reply to 340/6 last time out. Australia came from 2-0 down to beat India 3-2 on their last tour, last year, before David Warner and Aaron Finch opened this series in style too. India did beat Australia at the World Cup in similar fashion to their win last time out, however. On that occasion, they scored 352/5 and Australia folded for 316.
