Who will win India vs Australia, 2nd ODI 2020?
India will be desperate to bounce back against Australia in the second match of their three-game ODI series, after a crushing defeat for the hosts first up. The match takes place at Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on January 17, and the live action is scheduled to start at 13:30.
Australia stormed to a ten-wicket win in the first match, in Mumbai, as David Warner and Aaron Finch each hit unbeaten centuries as Australia reached 258/0 in 37.4 overs to record their biggest ever ODI win against India, in terms of wickets. It was also the highest ever partnership in ODI cricket against the hosts, for any wicket.
India had early collapsed to 255 all out, with Shikhar Dhawan top-scoring on 74. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul in their batting line-up too, however, they know they can expect much better as they bid to bounce back.

IND Team News
India’s answer to which of Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma to pick was to select all three but the balance of the team did not work last time out. Dropping one would push Virat Kohli up to number three and facilitate a recall for either Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey or Shivam Dube. Given KL Rahul took the gloves for Rishabh Pant after he suffered concussion, Dhawan – despite top-scoring could make way or Rahul could move down the order. On the bowling front, Shardul Thakur could be replaced by Navdeep Saini.
IND Key Players
Virat Kohli: Faced just 14 balls last time out, but his phenomenal ODI record speaks for itself. His conversion rate – scoring 43 centuries, and 55 half-centuries – is excellent and his 59.61 average is unparalleled among the full member nations.
Rohit Sharma: Another usual star who was out cheap last time out, the big-hitting opener still moved ever closer to 9,000 ODI runs and currently averages 48.92 in ODI cricket.
Jasprit Bumrah: The world number one ODI bowler according to the ICC rankings, he was no worse than anybody else last time out but his best form has brought him 103 ODI wickets in 59 appearances.
IND Team Form
If India are to win another ODI series, they are going to have to come from behind. After beating West Indies 2-1, with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli starring in their two wins, they started this season with a crushing ten-wicket loss. Shikhar Dhawan hit 74 and shared a century stand with Rahul, but India collapsed to 255 all out and lost without taking a wicket, in just 37.4 overs.
India Predicted Playing 11

AUS Team News
Marnus Labuschagne was not needed to bat on his ODI debut last time out, but he will surely not have to wait long to bat in this format. Australia could be unchanged after a dominant win.
AUS Key Players
David Warner: His 18th ODI century took him past 5,000 runs in the format – a milestone he reached quicker than any other Australian – as his excellent partnership with Finch continued.
Aaron Finch: His unbeaten century was his 16th in ODI cricket and marked a return to form after failing to reach his heights during the Big Bash League.
Pat Cummins: Moved to 98 ODI wickets when the took 2-44 last time out – the most economical bowling figures of a good all-round card for Australia.
AUS Team Form
Australia had not played ODI cricket since the 2019 Cricket World Cup but they started to make up for lost time immediately last time out. Mitchell Starc took 3-56 and Pat Cummins and Kane Richardson took two apiece as India folded for 255. In reply, David Warner hit 128* from 112 balls and Aaron Finch 110* from 114 balls as Australia chased that down in 37.4 overs and won by ten wickets.

India vs Australia Head to Head
Australia have now won their last four consecutive ODIs in India. They came from 2-0 down to win their five-game series 3-2 last year and followed that up with their dominant win last time out. Usman Khawaja was a centurion in India in 2019 but with David Warner now back in the line-up, it was the latter who took centre-stage this time out. He hit 128* from 112 balls and Aaron Finch scored 110* from 114 as Australia, after bowling India out for 255, claimed a phenomenal ten-wicket win.
