Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Lucia Zouks face-off in the second Caribbean Premier League semi-final when they meet at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba. The match, on September 8, gets underway at 17:30 local time.
Both teams won six of their ten group stage matches, beating each other once apiece, but Guyana arrive in the semi-finals in the better form. Including their win against the Zouks, they ended the league phase with four straight wins after some excellent bowling and good batting.
St Lucia Zouks did sign off from the group stage with a win, however – beating Jamaica Tallawahs by 11 runs in their final game as they successfully defended 145/6. This is only the second time the St Lucia franchise has ever reached the play-offs.
