Gros Islet Cannon Blasters vs Central Castries, St Lucia T10 Blast

Having been in such good form before their shock semi-final defeat, Gros Islet Cannon Blasters are favourites to win the 3rd/4th-place play-off of the Dream 11 St Lucia T10 Blast against Central Castries. The match takes place at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground on July 7 and the live action is scheduled to start at 12:00.

Gros Islet Cannon Blasters had previously won seven matches out of seven, including two wins against Central Castries, with their batsmen in particularly good form. That all ended in the semi-final, however, when they were set 119 to beat Mon Repos Stars. Tarryck Gabriel hit 47* in reply, but the Cannon Blasters came up short on 110/3.

The other semi-final went to form, however, with Central Castries heavily beaten by South Castries Lions. They have lost twice to the Cannon Blasters and twice to the Lions now and start this game as outsiders too.

  • Tarryck Gabriel: Enjoyed some huge partnerships with Melius and hit another 47*, including four sixes, last time out.
  • Garvin Serieux: A rare failure last time out may have proved costly, as so often previously he delivered hugely important runs when called upon.

  • Dillan John: Wicketless last time out, but generally he has been consistent with the ball and bowled well.

GICB vs CCMH Dream11 Prediction

  • Wicket-keeper(s)

Both Garvin Serieux and Stephen Naitram have showed enough batting form so far to make both hard to ignore. At 9.5 and ten credits respectively, they do not come cheap, but both have made their mark on this tournament.

  • Batsmen

Kimani Melius is not cheap either but there is no way you can ignore the big-hitting opener. Vernillius Gabriel helps to balance costs, however, as he is just eight credits but has found some form in recent matches. Ackeem Auguste is 8.5 credits at the top of the order for Central Castries. The talented teen could sign off with a big innings.

  • All-rounder(s)

Tarryck Gabriel is ten credits and top-scored for Gros Islet last time out. He too is key with the bat at the top of the order. Keddy Lesporis is up the order for Central Castries, meanwhile, and will be one of the players keen to improve on the semi-final batting horror-show.

  • Bowlers

That leaves four bowling spaces and Tyrel Chicot, Dillan John and Larry Edwards should have three of them. With just eight credits left, there are still a couple of options. Sanjay Hayle’s two wickets last time out may have put him at the front of the queue.

  • Captain/vice-captain

The big-hitting Gros Islet Cannon Blasters batsmen have made their mark on this tournament. Kimani Melius and Tarryck Gabriel may sign off with a big partnership, in which case it could be worth the gamble of picking them as captain and vice-captain.

GICB vs CCMH Dream11 Team Prediction

  • Batsmen:Kimani Melius (c), Ackeem Auguste, Vernillius Gabriel

  • All Rounder: Tarryck Gabriel (vc), Keddy Lesporis

  • Wicket Keeper:Garvin Serieux, Stephen Naitram

  • Bowler:Larry Edwards, Dillan John, Tyrel Chicot, Sanjay Hayle
