Gloucestershire are favorites to win
Gloucestershire will take on Glamorgan in the 2022 Vitality Blast. The game will be played at The County Ground, Bristol starting at 18:30 local time on Saturday June 18th.
Gloucestershire were beaten by local rivals Somerset by 7 runs on Friday evening, a result which leaves them in fifth place in the South Group, one point behind Hampshire Hawks in fourth. Pace bowlers Mohammad Amir and Benny Howell both took 2 wickets as Somerset posted 184-6. In reply, openers Miles Hammond and James Bracey got Gloucestershire off to a bright start but neither were able to kick on and make a big score. Benny Howell top scored with 42 runs from only 18 balls batting at number eight.
Glamorgan are next to bottom of the South Group, one point above Kent Spitfires who prop up the table. The South Wales county have struggled in the campaign and to date have recorded only two wins from eight games. They have not won any of their last four T20 Blast games with defeats against Somerset, Gloucestershire and Hampshire Hawks alongside a no-result at home to Surrey. They lost to Hampshire Hawks last Friday in spite of 2-18 from Andrew Salter and Michael Hogan picking up his 15th wicket of the campaign.

The match will be played at The County Ground, Bristol. The wicket has something in it for all types of bowlers and is never the easiest place to bat. We predict a par score of 170-180.

It is only a short journey across the Severn Bridge for Glamorgan but we do not expect them to return from Bristol with the points. Gloucestershire put in an impressive performance in defeat against Somerset and we predict they will have too much quality for Glamorgan.
