Top-order batting is going to depend mostly on skipper Azhar Ali who scored twice in the 80s in the ODI series. Sarfraz Ahmed collected 300 runs to become the highest run-scorer of the series. He played a well-constructed knock of 90 in the last match and he will be a key element in their middle-order. Imad Wasim, who struck two fifties and wasn't dismissed even once in the entire series, adds depth down the order. Pakistan should reach the predicted score if these three continue their good form.

Chris Woakes and Mark Wood are going to be the major hurdles in Pakistan's innings. Woakes was the best bowler for England in both the test and the ODI series with 26 and 9 wickets respectively. Wood took two wickets in the fifth ODI and three wickets in England's last match at the Old Trafford against New Zealand. So he is more likely to be the England top bowler in this match. Adil Rashid also did a fantastic job in the ODIs and he is the one spinner in this side that can trouble the Pakistani batsmen. If England strike early with two or three wickets, Pakistan could fall well short of 175.

The two teams have played a total of 13 T20Is against each other with England winning 9 of them and Pakistan winning 3. The most recent game at Sharjah last year was tied which was later won by England in the tiebreaker.

Our Prediction

Pakistan were completely overpowered by England in the ODI series for the first four games. Nothing seemed to be going their way until they finally got to taste victory in the final ODI. So could this be the much needed win that will bring a change in their fortunes from here onwards? Maybe. Maybe not. They will still need to bat well against a strong English bowling attack and will have to bowl well against a formidable English batting lineup.

England have a win percentage of 73.07 against Pakistan when it comes to T20 cricket. They have wins in the last five matches against them as well as in the last four matches played in England. They have also won five of their last six T20Is this year and are looking an unstoppable force at home.

Though T20 is an unpredictable format and Pakistan will always have an outside chance, we feel that England are strong favorites to conclude the tour with a win in this one-off T20 international.
