ENG-W vs IND-W 3rd T20 Match Prediction & Betting Tips

England Women will take on India Women in the third WIT20 at The County Ground, Bristol. The third game of the series begins at 18:30 local time on Thursday 15th September.

England Women

After their nine wicket win in Chester-le-Street on Saturday, England Women were on the receiving end of their own heavy defeat in Derby on Tuesday. Although England Women recovered from 54-5 inside 10 overs, they were never on top and were well beaten.

ENG-W Batting

After setting an excellent foundation for the side in the opening WIT20, Sophia Dunkley (5) and Danni Wyatt (6) were unable to repeat the same in Derby. Alice Capsey, who impressed on Saturday, was then run out after making only four. It was left to the middle and lower order to take England to 142-6, Freya Kemp impressing with 51 not out.

ENG-W Bowling

Freya Davies and Sophie Ecclestone were the only wicket takers for England Women on Tuesday but only Lauren Bell kept the economy rate down out of all the seven bowlers used. Bell is yet to take a wicket in the series but the Indian Women batters have treated her bowling with respect in both games.

ENG-W Form

England Women are lacking the type of consistency which we have become accustomed to over recent years. They have lost three of their last four matches in this format.

India Women 

In cold and overcast conditions, India Women produced a brilliant performance to win the game with 20 balls remaining to level the series at 1-1. After letting England Women rebuild in the second half of their innings, India Women then showed their class with the bat.

IND-W Batting

It was no surprise to see Smriti Mandhana take the Player of the Match Award in Derby after the left-handed opener struck 13 boundaries in her 79 not out from 53 balls. She was well supported by Shafali Verma in a half-century first wicket partnership before captain Harmanpreet Kaur hit 29 not out from 22 balls to get the team comfortably over the line.

IND-W Bowling

Opening bowler, Renuka Singh, who struggled in Durham on Saturday, looked back to the same player in Derby who dominated in the Commonwealth Games. She took 1-30 alongside fellow opener Deepti Sharma who recorded figures of 1-21 from four overs. Spinner, Sneh Rana, has four wickets in the series after taking 3-24 in Derby.

IND-W Form

After winning the second WIT20, India Women have now won three of their last five games in this format. The margin of victory on Tuesday was impressive.

ENG-W vs IND-W 3rd T20 Pitch Report

The match will be played at The County Ground, Bristol. Earlier in the summer we saw some high scores at this ground but the pitch has slowed over recent weeks. Any score over 140 will be very hard to chase.
