England vs Australia 3rd T20
After two contrasting wins so far, England face Australia for a third time when they face-off once more at the Ageas Bowl. The match takes place on September 8 and the live action starts at 18:00 local time.
Dawid Malan top-scored with 66 in the opening game as England posted 162/7 but it took some excellent death bowling to secure a two-run win, after David Warner and Aaron Finch had initially set Australia on their way to victory.
England’s bowlers made a fine start last time out, meanwhile, reducing the tourists to 30/3 before a late recovery. They hit 157/7 in total, before Jos Buttler (77*) and Dawid Malan (42) led them to 158/4 in 18.5 overs. One small boost for Australia, however, is that Buttler has been granted permission to leave the England bubble to see his family. There could be a few changes.

Jos Buttler will miss the final match of this series due to personal reasons, which should mean Tom Banton gets a chance to open again. Sam Billings and Joe Denly are vying for Buttler’s place in the team, with Jonny Bairstow set to take over the gloves.
ENG Key Players
- Dawid Malan: Top-scored with 66 in the first T20i against Australia before hitting a crucial 42 in an excellent partnership with Buttler last time out. He averages 50.84 from 15 T20 innings.
- Jofra Archer: Key with the ball in England’s opening win, after dismissing both openers, he started brilliantly last time out with the first-over dismissal of David Warner.
- Eoin Morgan: Normally so key with the bat, the England captain will want to finish the series on a high.
ENG Team Form
England have now won three of their last four T20i series, beating New Zealand and South Africa after coming from behind, before a draw with Pakistan. After being wayward with the ball against Pakistan, they have massively improved with Jofra Archer and Mark Wood back in the team.
