England Team News & Playing 11
ENG Team News
Tom Curran will miss the entire limited-overs programme of India's tour of England with a side strain, with Dawid Malan having been called up to the squad as cover. Chris Woakes is also out injured, as is Ben Stokes - though the latter is expected to feature as a batsman for Durham in their opening t20 Blast match and could still feature in the final game in this series.
Jos Buttler's success opening the batting in England's last two matches means changes at the top of the order are unlikely. Liam Plunkett came in for some punishment from India's batsmen in the first game, while Moeen Ali was expensive against both Australia and India, but both are likely to be retained - not least because England have only Ali and Adil Rashid in the squad as recognised, regular spinners.
ENG Key Players
Jos Buttler's purple patch is showing no signs of stopping. After his stunning IPL form lifted the Rajasthan Royals into the play-offs and earned him an England test recall, Buttler has continued to score well. Two half-centuries in the test series were followed by two more, and an unbeaten 110 in the one-dayers against Australia. His last two T20 innings, opening the batting, have seen him score 61 against Australia and 69 in the first match against India.
Buttler's opening partner Jason Roy is also in good form, following up his 44 against the Aussies with a breezy 30 at Old Trafford. Alex Hales could not follow up his 49 against Australia, but remains a huge threat in limited-overs cricket while captain Eoin Morgan hit two half-centuries in the ODI series against Australia and Jonny Bairstow went event better - scoring his fourth ODI hundred of 2018 during the 5-0 series win.
With the ball, Adil Rashid picked up 3-27 against Australia and was economical again as he finished with 1-25 against India at Old Trafford.
ENG Team Form
England had been in poor T20 form after struggling in the Trans-Tasman T20 Tri Series against Australia and New Zealand in the winter. The series, between their Ashes loss and their tour to New Zealand, did end with their only victory, however, and they followed that up with a brilliant batting display against Australia in last month's only T20 - Jos Buttler's 30-ball 61 helping them to 221/5 before Australia were bowled out for 193.
The two-game winning streak was ended at Old Trafford last time out, however, as more Buttler heroics were countered by Kuldeep Yadav's excellent bowling before Lokesh Rahul's brilliant century fired India to victory.

India Team News & Playing 11
IND Team News
Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar all returned for the first match of this series, after not playing in the second match against Ireland in Malahide. Manish Pandey, Siddarth Kaul and Dinesh Karthik were the players to miss out.
India, with Dhawan and Rohit Sharma back at the top of the order and Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli dropping to three and four, are unlikely to make any changes after their comfortable win.
IND Key Players
India have incredible batting depth, with Lokesh Rahul the current top performer after he hit a 36-ball 70 in the 143-run defeat of Ireland and followed that up with his unbeaten century, off 54 balls, against England at Old Trafford.
Rahul received support from Rohit Sharma (32) and Virat Kohli (20 not out) with the services of Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni - both of whom helped lead Chennai Super Kings to IPL victory - bot even required.
Rahul’s century was not enough to earn the man of the match award, however - that honour went to Kuldeep Yadav after his game-changing 5-24 with the ball. The wickets included tying the dangerous Alex Hales in knots before bowling him, and having both Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root stumped from their first balls.
Kuldeep Yadav also took 4-21 and 3-16 in the two matches against Ireland that preceded this series, while Umesh Yadav has also been in good form, following up his 2-19 against Ireland with 2-21 from four overs against England.
IND Team Form
India have now won their last seven T20 international matches, following up their Nidahas Trophy success - where they won four in a row after losing the first game to triumph overall - with a 2-0 win against Ireland and then the eight-wicket defeat of England at Old Trafford. As well as Ireland, India have won series against South Africa, Sri Lanka (twice), New Zealand and Australia during their current run.
India Predicted Playing 11
Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav
