ECB Blues vs Abu Dhabi, Emirates D10 League
ECB Blues will bid to get straight back to winning ways when they take on Abu Dhabi in the Emirates D10 Tournament. The match takes place at the ICC Academy in Dubai on July 29 and the live action starts at 20:00 local time.
ECB Blues thrashed Team Abu Dhabi when they last met, and then beat Fujairah and Sharjah – having already beaten Dubai on boundary countback after a tie – to make a fine start to the tournament. It was no more than expected from a team packed with international players, only for them to lose their unbeaten run when they suffered a shock loss to Ajman last time out.
That result put Abu Dhabi – who had beaten Ajman but then lost that game to the Blues and fell short against Fujairah and Sharjah too – bottom of the league. They return to action with a match against Dubai at the start of the day, before this game a few hours later.

ECB Blues Team News & Playing 11
ECB Team News
There is unlikely to be a sudden flood of changes from ECB Blues, but the defeat last time out may lead to some key questions being asked and there will certainly need to be more from the top order this time.
ECB Key Players
- Viritya Aravind: Made a fine start to the tournament with two big half-centuries and he will be keen to bounce back from a rare duck last time out. He has a strike rate of 244.44 so far.
- Rohan Mustafa: Opens the batting where has scored some useful runs and he also three wickets to his name. The all-rounder has plenty more to offer though.
- Ahmed Raza: The captain has seven wickets so far and has led the bowling attack with a comparatively good economy rate too.
ECB Team Form
Vriitya Aravind hit 83* as ECB Blues tied their first game with Dubai and then won on boundary countback, before Chirag Suri top-scored with 81 as they thrashed Abu Dhabi next up. The positive start continued with wins against Sharjah and Fujairah – Aravind continuing to impress with the bat – but their unbeaten run came to a sudden halt last time out.
Against Ajman, they posted 95 all out and were beaten by seven wickets with eight balls to spare.
ECB Blues Predicted Playing 11
Chirag Suri, Rohan Mustafa, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Boota, Viritya Aravind (wk), Taimoor Ali, Kashif Daud, Junaid Siddique, Kartik Meiyappan, Ahmed Raza (c), Muhammad Ayaz
Abu Dhabi Team News & Playing 11
TAD Team News
While Abu Dhabi have not tended to make big changes between games on the same day, they may be tempted by a couple for this one as they look to find some consistent form.
TAD Key Players
- Graeme Cremer: Consistently in the wickets but the key now is to keep his economy rate down. He may also have more to offer with the bat.
- Rameez Shahzad: Hit a half-century when these teams last met as part of his excellent start to this tournament with the bat.
- Ali Abid: Pushed up to open the batting, he looks capable of producing the quick runs that could get Abu Dhabi back on track.
TAD Team Form
Abu Dhabi lost heavily to ECB Blues when they last met, having previously won their opening game. The defeat to Blues sparked a run of losses, as they failed to impress with the bat in defeats to Fujairah and Sharjah. They play Dubai before this game.
Abu Dhabi Predicted Playing 11
Rameez Shahzad, Ali Abid, Ghulam Farid, Usama H. Shah, Kai Smith (wk), Aryan Lakra, Graeme Cremer (c), Dilawar Khan Orakzai, Jalal Bhukari, Vinayak Vijayan, Rahul Bhatia
