Dubai vs Abu Dhabi, Emirates D10 League
Dubai and Abu Dhabi will both be looking to get back to winning ways after poor starts when the Emirates D10 tournament resumes at the ICC Academy. In the first fixture of the day, after having had a couple of days off, the game on July 29 gets underway at 16:00 local time.
Dubai started with a tie against ECB Blues, losing only on boundary countback, but bounced back to beat Ajman in their second game. Things looked good at that point, but back-to-back defeats on day three – against Fujairah and Sharjah – have hurt them and they have just two points from four games.
That puts them level on points with Abu Dhabi, who also started by beating Ajman but have since lost heavily to ECB Blues, Fujairah and Sharjah too.

Dubai Team News & Playing 11
DPS Team News
Aagam Shah struggled after coming into the team last time out and Faizan Sheikh and/or Ibthisam Sait could return for this one.
DPS Key Players
- Fahad Nawaz: The young all-rounder has made an excellent start with the bat, averaging 44.67 at the top of the order and boasting a strike rate of 203.03.
- Faisal Amin: Started well with the bat, though he has faded a little, and he also has two wickets to his name to prove his all-round worth.
- Adnaan Khan: The wicket-keeper batsmen hammered 42 from 21 balls against Fujairah to help set a good tone at the top of the innings.
DPS Team Form
Dubai started well but got nothing to show for it, after hitting 126/4 to tie with ECB Blues in their first game – the Blues winning on boundary countback. They bounced back by beating Ajman, but they lost twice on the most recent day of action – falling short with the bat against Sharjah and not capitalising on a good start against Fujairah – to leave them with just one win.

Abu Dhabi Team News & Playing 11
TAD Team News
Rising start Aryan Lakra came into the team on the second day and Ali Abid was pushed up the order, but there are likely to be more changes for Abu Dhabi this time after two below-par batting performances.
TAD Key Players
- Graeme Cremer: Expensive so far, but the former Zimbabwean international has taken four wickets in four games and has plenty more to offer too.
- Rameez Shahzad: Started the tournament with two half-centuries and has 120 runs in total so far, with an excellent 226.42 strike rate.
- Vinayak Vijayan: Took all four wickets he has claimed so far in the first game they played, but it shows what a match-winner he can be when he gets it right.
TAD Team Form
Vinayak Vijayan claimed four wickets and Rameez Shahzad hit 50 as Abi Dhabi chased 99 to beat Ajman by eight wickets first up, but things have not worked out since. A heavy defeat, in which their bowlers were punished by ECB Blues, followed, before their batting fell short in defeats to Fujairah and Sharjah. They did not play on day three.
