Galle Gladiators

The Gladiators have lost six games in the competition and qualified for the play-offs by virtue of having a stronger net-run-rate than bottom of the table Dambulla Aura who beat them by four wickets on Monday. Galle need to find a new level of performance if they are to win this match.

GG Batting

Kusal Mendis has continued his strong record in the LPL this year. The 2021 tournament leading run scorer has hit three half-centuries and 252 runs in total, but it was Nuwanidu Fernando who top scored with 63 not out from 42 balls against Dambulla Aura.

GG Bowling

Nuwan Thushara (2-42), Imad Wasim (2-32) and Nimesh Vimukthi (1-17) were the only bowlers in the Galle Gladiators attack to pick up wickets in their final group stage game. Thusahara has been very impressive across the tournament and is only one wicket from leading wicket taker Carlos Brathwaite.

GG Form

Galle Gladiators will have to avoid their fifth successive defeat if they are to stay in the competition.
