Both Chattogram Challengers and Rajshahi Royals – who play each other twice in this phase of fixtures – have won seven matches so far and lost three. Victory in this game will put one team clear at the top and in pole position to wrap up a place in the qualifier play-off against either the other team or Dhaka Platoon.

It was the perfect response to defeat to Cumilla Warriors in the previous game, when a horror last over from Liam Plunkett – conceding 17 runs – saw them slip to a two-wicket defeat off the final ball.

After restricting the Thunder to 143/6, the Royals hit eight sixes as they took just 15.1 overs to reach their target and secure a six-wicket win.
