Barbados Tridents will be counting on Shai Hope, Steven Smith and Hashim Amla to score the big runs in this match. Hope is currently the team's leading run-getter in this year's CPL and he adds a lot of strength to the middle order. Smith recently cracked a half-century against Jamaica Tallawahs and he will be expected to play a similar knock against the Knight Riders. The Tridents will turn to their pacemen Wahab Riaz, Jason Holder and Raymon Reifer to do the job for them with the ball. Reifer has been the most impressive of all the bowlers in this side and it will be up to him to provide the early breakthroughs. Mohammad Irfan is another bowler who can cause a few problems for the batsmen with his pace.
Dwayne Smith, Martin Guptill, Hashim Amla, Steven Smith, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Jason Holder (c), Raymon Reifer, Wahab Riaz, Ashley Nurse, Mohammad Irfan
Colin Munro, Brendon McCullum and Darren Bravo have all made notable contributions with the bat this season and the Knight Riders will want them to click together in this match. Munro and Bravo smashed twin fifties in their last outing against Jamaica Tallawahs. Munro is currently this CPL's second-highest run-scorer and the opposition will want to see his back as early as possible. Ali Khan and Dwayne Bravo are the main threats in Trinbago's pace attack. The former has taken the most wickets for his side - eight in five games. Sunil Narine and Fawad Ahmed will be the go-to men for the skipper when it comes to spin. Fawad has six wickets to his name and the leg-spinner is expected to do some damage here.

Trinbago Knight Riders have beaten Barbados Tridents six times out of ten in the Caribbean Premier League and five times in their previous six attempts. Barbados, however, emerged victorious by 15 runs the last time these two sides faced-off in the 2017 season. They will be playing at their home ground and so will have the advantage of being familiar with the conditions beforehand. The Knight Riders will be going into this game having won their last two encounters and so they will have the momentum on their side. Both these teams are pretty evenly matched on paper but we feel that the scales are tipped slightly more in favour of the home team.
Final Verdict: Back Barbados Tridents to beat Trinbago Knight Riders.
