Who will win Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Tallawahs, CPL 2019?
Barbados Tridents take on Jamaica Tallawahs at Bridgetown as the 2019 Caribbean Premier League continues. The match will take place at the Kensington Oval on September 23, and the live action starts at 18:00 local time.
Barbados are the only team the Tallawahs have beaten so far this season, winning at Sabina Park thanks to Chadwick Walton’s half-century. Jamaica have otherwise lost the other six matches they have played, despite Chris Gayle and Andre Russell being among their team this year.
Barbados have only won two matches, meanwhile, losing three – including the match at home to Guyana Amazon Warriors last time out. The rain-affected defeat against the unbeaten league leaders was a comedown from the win against St Lucia Zouks before that.

BT vs JT Toss Prediction
Barbados Tridents have lost the toss in four consecutive matches now – they are overdue winning this one, and they may choose to field first after losing when they batted first against the Amazon Warriors.
BT vs JT Weather Report
The rain should clear in Bridgetown by Monday evening, with a cloudy, overcast but – crucially – dry night forecast in Barbados.
BT vs JT Pitch Condition
The Bajan pitches are hard, fast and bouncy. The weather had an impact last time out, but Bridgetown should be back to its usual characteristics this time.

Barbados Tridents Team News & Playing 11
BT Team News
Alex Hales flew straight back from Notts Outlaws’ Vitality Blast Finals Day and shook off jetlag to go straight back into the team. Justin Greaves retained his place, however, with Joshua Bishop dropping out instead.
BT Key Players
Alex Hales: Back from his brief return and straight in at the top of the order, his explosive hitting has already been evident for the Tridents, as it was with Notts Outlaws this season too.
Sandeep Lamichhane: More tidy bowling and another wicket last time out to continue his good form in this tournament so far, adding further to his burgeoning T20 reputation.
Jason Holder: Could not add to his seven wickets last time out, but the West Indies captain still bowled well. His batting is useful too, though that has not been too evident so far in this year’s CPL.
BT Team Form
At best, Barbados have been inconsistent so far this season, losing three games with two wins in between. The positive they will take, however, is they are yet to lose twice in a row. Their nost recent win was against St Lucia Zouks – bowling them out for just 101 after Justin Greaves’ half-century had seen them post 172/6 from their own 20 overs.
Last time out, however, in their first home game, they lost a rain-affected match against Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Tridents were all out for 138 and the Warriors reached 81/2 in 11 overs – well above the DLS par score when no further play was possible.
Barbados Tridents Predicted Playing 11
Johnson Charles, Alex Hales, Justin Greaves, Leniko Boucher (wk), JP Duminy, Jonathan Carter, Jason Holder (c), Ashley Nurse, Raymon Reifer, Josh Lalor, Sandeep Lamichhane

JT Team News
Oshane Thomas and George Worker made way last time out, as Shamarh Springer and Imran Khan returned to the team. Both made an impression and could be retained again this time out, despite the defeat.
JT Key Players
Glenn Phillips: There is no question surrounding his form, even his team-mates have been unable to match it. He scored 87 in the defeat to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, following scores of 58, 62, 28 and 40.
Andre Russell: Vital with bat and ball, and missed when he was out injured. He hit 40 and took 2-35 against Guyana Amazon Warriors, and then took 1-17 from three overs last time out too.
Chadwick Walton: Recently appointed captain and starred when the Tallawahs beat Barbados with an unbeaten half-century.
JT Team Form
Jamaica Tallawahs’ only win so far this CPL 2019 season came against the Barbados Tridents, and they have lost twice more since then – giving them a record of just one win in seven games. Glenn Phillips smashed 87 from 49 balls last time out but, replying to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots’ 176/6, the Tallawahs were all out for 156. It was a small improvement on their previous game, when they were carted for 137 replying to Guyana Amazon Warriors’ 218/6.
Jamaica Tallawahs Predicted Playing 11
Chris Gayle, Glenn Phillips (wk), Chadwick Walton (c), Dwayne Smith, Imran Khan, Andre Russell, Shamarh Springer, Javelle Glen, Ramaal Lewis, Jade Dernbach, Zahir Khan
Barbados Tridents vs Jamaica Tallawahs Head to Head
Jamaica Tallawahs’ only win so far this season came against the Barbados Tridents – the Tallawahs restricting Barbados to 140/9 before Chadwick Walton guided the chase with 51*. They won by four wickets with nine balls to spare.
It was a reverse of last season, when Jamaica were one of just two teams to lose to the Tridents – though they did win the reverse fixture. In total, Barbados have won five of their previous meetings and the Tallawahs have won seven, with one game rained off.
