Who will win Barbados Tridents vs Guyana Amazon Warriors, CPL 2019?
Barbados Tridents’ first home game of the 2019 Caribbean Premier League sees them take on unbeaten league leaders Guyana Amazon Warriors at Bridgetown. The match, at the Kensington Oval, takes place on September 22 and the live action starts at 18:00 local time.
The Tridents have won two of their four games so far, most recently bowling out St Lucia Zouks for 101 in a 71-run win. That is already as many wins as they managed in last season’s tournament.
They are outsiders for this one, however, with Guyana Amazon Warriors in stunning form so far. Most recently, captain Shoaib Malik led the way with an unbeaten 67 from 37 balls as they posted 218/6 against Jamaica Tallawahs before bowling them out for 137 in reply. With five wins from five so far, they will want to continue their perfect form.

BT vs GAW Toss Prediction
Barbados Tridents have lost the toss in their last three consecutive matches so they are due this one. The only team they won the toss against was the Warriors, when they chose to field first. On a batsman-friendly, they may choose to bat first this time.
BT vs GAW Weather Report
Bridgetown is set to be wet on Sunday, with showers forecast all day. The only positive for these teams is the fact there is forecast to be less rain in the evening than earlier in the day, so they may just get a game on.
BT vs GAW Pitch Condition
This is the first match of this year’s tournament at Bridgetown, and so the typically fast and bouncy pitch is to be expected. Since the outfield was relaid, the historic problems on wet days like the one forecast are a thing of the past.

Qais Ahmad and Imran Tahir have more than compensated for the early departure of Shadab Khan. Guyana Amazon Warriors welcomed Odean Smith back last time out, and he took a wicket in the win against Jamaica Tallawahs. It could be the same 11 that faces Barbados.
GAW Key Players
Shimron Hetmyer: Bounced back from a couple of low scores by hitting 44 last time out, to move to 148 runs in his five innings so far in CPL 2019. That includes an unbeaten 70* when he starred in the Warriors’ second win.
Shoaib Malik: The Pakistani veteran, and captain of this team, took a wicket when these teams last met but it is with the bat he has found form lately – following up his unbeaten 24 against the Patriots with 67* in the win against Jamaica Tallawahs.
Imran Tahir: The veteran leg-spinner continues to bamboozle, having started this tournament with figures of 2-17 against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and then 2-21 against Jamaica Tallawahs last time out.
