Our Pick Brisbane Heat are favorites to win
Brisbane Heat will take on Melbourne Renegades in the 39th match of the Big Bash League. The match will be played at the Manuka Oval and is set to begin at 7:15 PM local time.
Even though Brisbane Heat have won quite a few matches of late, we have few concerns about their batting. Apart from Chris Lynn, none of the batsmen have performed consistently. This is something they need to work on. Mind you, every game from now is like a knockout for the Heats.
The bowling has been good throughout with Xavier Bartlett, Jack Wildermuth, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Mark Steketee and the all rounders doing a decent job.
For Melbourne Renegades, they’re heading towards another disastrous finish in the Big Bash. They defeated Adelaide Strikers in the previous match but the problem still remains the same i.e their batting.
The top order failed again and if Mohammad Nabi hadn’t played a blinder, they’ve lost that match as well.
In the bowling department, Peter Hatzoglou picked up a 3-fer and the other bowlers like Kane Richardson, Imad Wasim, Jack Prestwidge bowled well too. The bowling still looks good and only if their batting can perform, they may pick up few wins.
Overall, while there is plenty of rectify for the Heats, we think Renegades batting will struggle against the quality Heat bowling. We’d go in with Heats as the winner of this match.

Toss will be crucial and the skipper that wins the toss might want to bat.
It’s a brilliant wicket to bat but the pitch will get slower as the match progresses. Chasing might get difficult here. 170 can be a very good score here.
The weather will be bright and sunny on the match day

Melbourne Renegades has crumbled as a batting unit. Throughout the tournament they’ve been very inconsistent with the bat which has been the cause of their misery. Brisbane Heat too have few issues to sort out but we think they’ve a very good bowling line up that’ll make life tough for the Renegades batsmen. We’ll go in with Heats as the winners of this match
Wicket Keeper
Jimmy Pierson and Sam Harper at 8.5 are two good picks. Both have been inconsistent but are quality batsmen we can back to come good.
Batsmen
Chris Lynn at 10.5, Aaron Finch at 10.5, Max Bryant and Joe Denly at 8.5 will form our batting order. Lynn has been in top form while Finch can be a match winner on his day. We’ll back Joe Denly as he’s a good player and has got some runs under his belt.
All rounder
Jack Wildermuth at 9.0 and Mohammed Nabi at 9.0 will be our all rounders. Wildermuth has been the best bowler for the Heats while Nabi played a magnificent knock of 71 in the last match.
Bowlers
Mujeeb ur Rahman at 9.0, Kane Richardson at 9.0 and Mark Steketee at 8.5 will complete our team. All the three bowlers have been very good in the last few matches and has consistently picked up the wickets.
Captain /Vice Captain
Chris Lynn is our preferred captain while Mohammed Nabi can be backed as his deputy
Batsmen:Max Bryant, Chris Lynn (c), Joe Denly, Aaron Finch
All Rounder:Jack Wildermuth, Mohammed Nabi(vc)
Wicket Keeper:Sam Harper, Jimmy Pierson
Bowler:Mujeeb ur Rahman, Mark Steketee, Kame Richardson
