Bangla Tigers Team News & Playing 11

BGT Team News

Having been unchanged for all five of their matches so far, it would be a surprise if Bangla Tigers were to suddenly change anything for this final league phase fixture.

BGT Key Players

Rilee Rossouw: Consistent at the top of the order to score 140 runs from his five innings so far, including a top score of 44* from 21 balls in the win against Team Abu Dhabi.

David Wiese: A poplar figure on the franchise circuit and he proved why last time out as he moved to six wickets so far with a match-winning 3-14 from his two overs.

Robbie Frylinck: Hit his stride last time out, with 36* from 12 balls to rescue the Tigers from a sticky situation with the bat before he took 1-30 with the ball.

BGT Team Form

Bangla Tigers are unbeaten in their last four games, since they started with a defeat to Deccan Gladiators. They beat Karnataka Tuskers in their next game and then tied with Delhi Bulls to conclude the group stage. Since then, Rilee Rossouw (44*) and Qais Ahmad (3-8) played their part in a 27-run win against Team Abu Dhabi, while David Wiese’s 3-14 was vitals as they defended 102/6 to beat Northern Warriors by just six runs last time out.

Bangla Tigers Predicted Playing 11

Andre Fletcher, Rilee Rossouw, Colin Ingram, Tom Moores (wk), Thisara Perera (c), Robbie Frylinck, Liam Plunkett, David Wiese, Qais Ahmad, Chirag Suri, Kevin Koththiigoda

BGT vs MA Dream11 Prediction

Wicket-keeper

With all three wicket-keepers costing the same amount, Andre Fletcher looks the best value given he is at the top of the order and has showed some decent form with two important innings too.

Batsmen

Rilee Rossouw is the more consistent Tigers’ batsman, however, and he is well worth picking up at ten credits. Chris Lynn’s form has made headlines and he is 10.5 credits but you simply can not ignore him at the moment. Beyond Lynn, Adam Lyth has showed some good fom for the Arabians too and is good value at 8.5 credits. Hazratullah Zazai is nine credits but he is dangerous at the top of the order.

All-rounders

David Wiese and Robbie Frylinck were the key men for the Tigers in their last match and both look good value at nine credits apiece. Wiese is in the better form, but both can be picked up.

Bowlers

It still leaves plenty for the Arabians’ in-form bowling attack of Lasith Malinga and Mitchell McClenaghan. Qais Ahmad is in fine form for the Tigers, meanwhile, which makes him worth selecting too. That leaves 8.5 credits for your final player – Wanindu Hasaranga costs that much and he has collected a modest 52 points so far.

Captain/Vice-captain

Chris Lynn’s sensational batting form continued last time out and the Maratha Arabians’ opener is impossible to ignore in this current form for captain. For vice-captain, there are a number of other in-form players. David Wiese is one of them and was back in the wickets last time out. Purely because he can swing the bat too, he might just edge Qais Ahmad, who has also shown good form this season.

Maratha Arabians Team News & Playing 11

MA Team News

Another unchanged team last time out – as they have been since Afghanistan duo Hazratullah Zazai and Najibullah Zadran arrived post-international duty – earned another win. It seems likely the winning 11 will be stuck with again.

MA Key Players

Chris Lynn: If anybody is going to hit a century in this tournament, the big-hitting opener looks the most likely on current form. His last three innings have brought 91*, 61 and 89 at the top of the order. He hit nine sixes in his 33-ball innings last time out.

Lasith Malinga: Continued his brilliant bowling form as he claimed 1-10 last time out. It was his first wicket but his slingy bowling has produced plenty of economical overs nevertheless.

Mitchell McClenaghan: Usually excellent in tandem with Malinga, he was hit for five fours and he conceded 0-26 last time out. His 2-9 and 1-17 in the previous two innings shows what he can do, however.

MA Team Form

Maratha Arabians have found their form in style and Chris Lynn, Mitchell McClenaghan and Lasith Malinga have been central to that. Lynn’s 91* and Malinga and McClenaghan excellent bowling saw them post 138/2 and beat Team Abu Dhabi by 24 runs, for example. Lyth then hit 61 in the following T20 League match but the rain denied them the chance to defend 129/4 against Karnataka Tuskers. Last time out, however, they made up for lost time – Lynn scored 89 from 33 balls and Malinga’s 1-10 ensured their total of 146/4 proved 30 runs too many for Delhi Bulls.
