Barbados Tridents vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, CPL 2020
Barbados Tridents start their Caribbean Premier League when they take on St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the second scheduled game of the 2020 tournament at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba. The match takes place on August 18 and is scheduled to start at 17:30 local time.
The Tridents were victorious at this ground last time out, beating Guyana Amazon Warriors in last year’s final as Raymon Reifer bowled them to victory. Hayden Walsh Jr’s form in the latter part of the tournament was also key, but they will be without key players from that win – Harry Gurney and Alex Hales. Marcus Stoinis and Wahab Riaz have also had to withdraw.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots lost in the play-offs last season. Captain Carlos Brathwaite has left this season, meaning Rayad Emrit leads a team who have recruited big-hitting Chris Lynn for the 2020 season.
