Bangladesh will be very disappointed with their performance in the series. Having lost the T20I series, they were expected to bounce back stronger in the Test series. However, that was not the case to be as they suffered a crushing 8 wicket loss in the first Test. 

Bangladesh did get Pakistan under the pump on many occasions but failed to capitalize. Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 114 and 91 respectively, helped them post a decent 330 in the first inning before the bowlers bundled out Pakistan for 286, giving Bangladesh a handy lead of 44 runs. 

However, everything got downhill from then for Bangladesh and they lost the match. There are plenty of issues for Bangladesh in the batting department. They need runs from the top order which is not coming. 

If Shakib is fit and available for selection, it will be a big boost for the hosts. The bowling also looks pretty dependent on Taijul Islam and Mahedi Hasan.

For Pakistan, even they won the match, they would know that they can't repeat their mistakes. Not many teams would have allowed them to make a comeback after conceding a lead on a difficult surface. 

However, most of the batters eventually did well in the game which is a plus. The bowlers also found their strides as the game progressed thus they will be very confident going into the match.

Pitch will be good for batting on Day 1 but will start deteriorating pretty quickly. Day 4 and 5 will be hard to bat. Spinners will be big threats but pacers will also be dangerous if there is inconsistent bounce.
