Our Pick Bangladesh are favourites to win
After losing the first one-dayer, Afghanistan came back strongly on Wednesday and put up a spirited effort to level the three-match ODI series 1-1. They put the hosts into bat, bowled them out for 208 and then went on to produce a thrilling chase - winning the match by two wickets and two balls to spare.
The third and the final one-day international will be played on October 1 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. Match is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM local time.

Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan make up the core of their batting lineup. Tamim could not quite get going in the last match and Bangladesh will need him to play a big innings on Saturday. Once set, he can quickly take the game away from the opposition. We expect him to top-score here, and Bangladesh should be in a comfortable position if the others can stick around him.
Mashrafe Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed will be the ones from their bowling lineup who could create problems for the Afghan batsmen. Mortaza has been very tidy in both the games while Shakib and Taskin have been chipping away at the wickets. So the hosts will back these three to do well here and throw Afghanistan's innings off track. Shakib has taken six wickets in the series and he is more likely to be their top bowler in this match.
Their top-order got the maximum runs for them in the first game while their middle-order did the job in the second one. Though Mohammad Shahzad has not been able to convert the starts into big ones, he has looked good scoring in 30s in each match. He has been getting runs consistently for Afghanistan and we feel he could top-score here. Mohammad Nabi has also done well and the team will really benefit if there are big contributions from these two.
The pick of the bowlers have been Mohammad Nabi, Dawlat Zadran and Rashid Khan. Zadran was devastating in the first match picking up a four-wicket haul and the speedster is expected to grab a few wickets early on in Bangladesh's innings. The hosts have also found it difficult to tackle the tricky offspin-legspin combination of Nabi and Rashid. The two have shared nine wickets between them and either of them could emerge as the top bowler in this match.
Afghanistan started their journey in this series as underdogs and Bangladesh were the overwhelming favorites. But are the hosts playing below their potential or have the visitors raised their level? We think it's a bit of both. The men in green have not been up to the mark with the bat as they were bowled out in both the games. The men in blue have suddenly begun to produce allround performances from nowhere, winning the previous match and giving the home team a good run for their money in the match before.
Looking back at these two games, the two teams seem to be neck-and-neck and there isn't much to separate them. However, going purely on the basis of their recent good ODI record at home, we feel Bangladesh will be back as an improved unit to win this match and the series.
