Bangladesh are favorites to win
The 31st fixture of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will see Bangladesh take on Afghanistan. The match will be played on June 24 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. Live telecast is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM local time.
TV channels: Star Sports, Star Cricket, Fox Sports, Sky Sports, Ten Sports, SuperSport, OSN Sports Cricket HD, Gazi TV
Live Streaming: Bet365, Hotstar, Foxtel Go, Sky Go, Now TV, OSN Play
Since the wicket at this ground has tended to offer more assistance to the bowlers during the first period of play in the past few matches, the toss-winning captain is likely to bowl first.
There is no rain threat and a clear sky with plenty of sunshine is forecast for this match. Temperature is expected to be between 17 and 22 degrees celsius.
The pitch at Southampton should offer something for both batsmen and bowlers. The outfield, barring there are no overnight showers, is expected to be pretty fast.

Bangladesh had to make a couple of forced changes to their side in the last match against Australia. Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin, both of whom picked up injuries in the game against the West Indies, were replaced by Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Hossain respectively. Both had an off day last time and the team will be hoping for Mosaddek and Saifuddin to regain complete fitness before this match. Mehidy Hasan was struck on the head in a practice session but nothing serious has been reported and he should be available for this game.
Shakib Al Hasan: He is currently the best all-rounder in the world in the game's 50-over format and is Bangladesh's most valuable player. He is the second-leading run-getter in the tournament with 425 runs and has taken five wickets in as many matches.
Mushfiqur Rahim: He is one of the most consistent performers with the bat for Bangladesh. The top-order batsman has had a couple of big knocks this World Cup, including the unbeaten 102 off 97 balls in the last game against Australia.
Mustafizur Rahman: His spell with the new ball is going to be very crucial. Bangladesh's premier pace bowler has been amongst the wickets in the CWC 2019 - eight wickets in five matches.
Bangladesh have played six matches so far in this Cricket World Cup out of which they have won two and lost three while one of their encounters has resulted in a washout. They are currently positioned fifth on the CWC 2019 points table with five points and will now have to win their remaining three fixtures in order to keep their semi-final hopes alive. After their game against Sri Lanka was rained out, Bangladesh beat the West Indies by seven wickets before losing to Australia in their last game by 48 runs.

Afghanistan, after the heavy defeat against England, made a couple of changes to their side in the last match against India as they replaced Noor Ali Zadran and Dawlat Zadran by Hazratullah Zazai and Aftab Alam respectively. The team may want to stick with the same line-up after its impressive showing against India.
Hashmatullah Shahidi: With a couple of half-centuries to his name, Hashmatullah has been Afghanistan's best batsman in this World Cup. He struck an impressive 59 against New Zealand at Taunton and a 76 against England at Manchester.
Mohammad Nabi: His ability to make vital contributions with both bat and ball makes him a key figure in Afghanistan's line-up. He picked up a four-fer against Sri Lanka at Cardiff and will look to deliver a similar performance in this match.
Rashid Khan: The leg-spinner is ranked third on the ICC ODI rankings for bowlers. He may not have taken too many wickets this World Cup but his impressive figures of 10-0-38-1 against a formidable Indian batting line-up will surely boost his confidence going forward.
Afghanistan are yet to open their account on the points table. They are languishing at the bottom of the CWC 2019 leaderboard having lost all six of their matches and are officially knocked out of the tournament. Their last three defeats have come against South Africa, England and India respectively. Afghanistan will take a lot of heart from their performance in the last match - they bowled exceptionally well to restrict India to 224/8 before giving them a massive scare during the run chase.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan have played seven one-day internationals against each other in the past out of which four have been won by the former and three by the latter.
Both the teams have won twice each in the previous four ODI meetings. The most recent encounter which came in last year's Asia Cup at Abu Dhabi was won by Bangladesh. After winning the toss and electing to bat first in that game, Bangladesh scored 249/7 in their 50 overs. Afghanistan, in reply, could manage 246/7 in their innings and fell short by three runs.

Bangladesh are favorites to win this match at 1.28 with Betway, Bet365 and Betrally. Afghanistan continue to find themselves as the bookmakers' underdogs and they are being offered at odds of 3.25 on Betway, 3.60 on Betrally and 3.75 on Bet365.
Barring their outings against Sri Lanka and India where they managed to give their opponents a run for their money, Afghanistan have had a very disappointing World Cup so far. They are already out of contention for the race to the semi-finals and will be playing with freedom which might work in their favor to some extent. Bangladesh's semi-final hopes are hanging by a thread and they will look to come out with all their guns blazing on Monday. The men in green are under enormous pressure, but despite that, we expect them to emerge victorious and keep themselves afloat in the competition.
Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan at 1.28 with Betway, Bet365 and Betrally.
