Although Rizwan Butt went wicketless and conceded 26 runs from his two overs, he is an experienced bowler who will look forward to putting things right in this match.

After coming into Sunday’s game with a record of five defeats from five matches, Saudi Arabia shocked the cricketing world with one of the great upsets. Often victories by underdogs are tense and close but Saudi Arabia chased down their target with 9.1 overs and nine wickets remaining.

Right-handed opener Faisal Khan produced an incredible innings from nowhere to defeat Bahrain on Sunday. His 81 not out came from only 32 balls and included nine fours and six sixes. It was his second IT20 half-century and he will be keen to face the same bowling attack on Monday.

Although it was the batting of Faisal Khan which took the headlines for Saudi Arabia on Sunday evening, the bowling attack were the ones who had setup the victory with an excellent team performance. 40 year old Atif-Ur-Rehman took 3-19 to add to his 1-19 earlier in the tournament against Bahrain.

SAU Form

Saudi Arabia ended a run of seven successive defeats with the victory on Sunday.
