Australia Team News & Playing 11
AUS Team News
None of the Australian players were reported to be injured at the time of writing. The Aussies have played the same team in each of the three matches and since they are already in the final, we expect them to make at least one change for this game - Billy Stanlake could be given a breather and replaced by Kane Richardson.
AUS Key Players
Aaron Finch could not contribute much last time but he is definitely the key man in this Australian batting lineup. The opening batsman is topping the runs charts with 256 runs which includes a century and a fifty. D'Arcy Short has been their next best batsman with 89 runs from three matches while Alex Carey got back amongst the runs with an unbeaten 37 in the last game against Pakistan. Andrew Tye with nine wickets in the series has been the most reliable bowler for Australia and he is likely make life difficult for the Zimbabwean batsmen. Jhye Richardson has four wickets and his role will become even more important if Billy Stanlake is given a break.
AUS Recent Form
Australia's 45-run loss in the last match against Pakistan was just their second defeat in the nine T20 internationals they have played this year. The Aussies finally tasted a bitter loss after winning their first two games of the series in a very convincing fashion. Their bowlers were not up to the mark and allowed Pakistan to rack up a big total of 194 runs.
Australia Predicted Playing 11
Aaron Finch (c), D'Arcy Short, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Nic Maddinson, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey (wk), Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Jhye Richardson, Billy Stanlake/Kane Richardson
Zimbabwe Team News & Playing 11
ZIM Team News
Zimbabwe made a few changes to their side for the last game against Pakistan. They dropped Chamu Chibhabha, Ryan Burl and John Nyumbu and brought in Cephas Zhuwao, Malcolm Waller and Wellington Masakadza as the respective replacements. We expect the hosts to come up with the same lineup for this game against Australia.
ZIM Key Players
Solomon Mire is among the leading run-getters in the series with 149 runs from three matches. The opening batsman cracked a career-best 94 off 63 balls in the last game against Pakistan and that should give him a lot of confidence going into this game. Hamilton Masakadza has managed just 21 runs so far and the hosts will be hoping that he returns to form. Expectations will also be from Tarisai Musakanda who has shown promising signs in this series. With the ball, Zimbabwe will look to paceman Blessing Muzarabani and left-arm spinner Tendai Chisoro to do the job. Both have taken two wickets each in the series and the latter has a decent economy rate of just over 7.
ZIM Recent Form
Since beating India in 2016 at this ground, Zimbabwe have lost their next seven T20 internationals in a row. They have failed to click together as a unit in this series which is one of the main reasons why they have not been able to win a single game. While the hosts were completely dominated in the first two games, they showed some fight in the last game against Pakistan but eventually suffered a seven-wicket loss.
Zimbabwe Predicted Playing 11
Solomon Mire, Cephas Zhuwao, Hamilton Masakadza (c), Tarisai Musakanda, Elton Chigumbura, Malcolm Waller, Peter Moor (wk), Tendai Chisoro, Chris Mpofu, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani
