Australia have confirmed their playing eleven for the series decider and have made a couple of changes from the last game. While off-spinner Nathan Lyon has been dropped, fast bowler Jason Behrendorff has been ruled out with a stiff back. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa and paceman Billy Stanlake come in as the respective replacements. The home team has also included fast bowler Kane Richardson in the squad as a back-up option.

AUS Key Players

Shaun Marsh has continued his terrific ODI form with scores of 54 and 131 in the respective matches of the series, and at the moment, he is undoubtedly the key batsman for Australia. Usman Khawaja and Peter Handscomb cracked fifties in Sydney while Glenn Maxwell also did his bit in the last game. Maxwell scored 96 runs in Australia's last ODI against India at the MCG and he will be looking to replicate that performance. Jhye Richardson and Billy Stanlake will be the two big threats for the Indian batsmen as far as Australia's bowling is concerned. Richardson, who delivered a match-winning performance at the SCG with a four-wicket haul, will be backed by the team to make the early inroads into the Indian batting line-up once again. Stanlake has been impressive in his short international white-ball career and his tall height and express pace could cause problems for the visitors. Marcus Stoinis has a knack of providing breakthroughs at key moments which makes him the one to watch out for in the middle overs.

AUS Recent Form

Australia, after their six-wicket defeat at the Adelaide Oval, have now lost nine of their last eleven one-day internationals. They have done well with the bat in the ongoing series, posting scores of close to 300 in both the matches. Bowling, however, seems to be an area for concern for the hosts. In the first ODI, the Aussies had India pinned to the mat at 4-3 in the fourth over but failed to close the game there itself. And in the last match, they failed to defend a big total of 298.
