Adelaide Strikers women vs Melbourne Stars women, WBBL 2020
Adelaide Strikers women will take on Melbourne Stars women in the 18th game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Blacktown International Sportspart, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 7.05 PM local time
Adelaide Strikers started the tournament with a victory over Hobart Hurricanes but two losses and a washout has got them into a tricky situation. They’re settled at the 6th spot in the points table and will need a win to get themselves back into the tournament. In Tahila McGrath, Laura Wolvaardt and Bridget Patterson, Adelaide constitutes of a decent batting line up. Similarly, Megan Schutt, Darcie Brown and Sarah Coyte have the skills to restrict any batting line up with the ball. All they need is a collective display of their skills. They’ll be hoping for a better show against Melbourne Stars.
For Melbourne Stars women they finally put their frustration to rest after a thumping victory over Hobart Hurricanes. Meg Lanning looked really good in the first game after a brisk 50 while Elyse Villani played a magnificent knock of 51 against Hobart. They along with Migon du Preez, Natalie Sciver and Annabel Sutherland form a strong batting line-up. In the bowling department, Katherine Brunt and Nate Sciver decimated the Hobart Hurricanes women batsmen with 3 wickets each. They’ll put forth a stiff challenge for Adelaide Strikers. The only issues for Melbourne Stars women will be the lack of a quality support bowler.
