Adelaide Strikers Women vs Melbourne Renegades Women, WBBL 2020
Adelaide Strikers women will take on Melbourne Renegades women in the 44th game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM local time
Adelaide Strikers thrashed Hobart Hurricanes in their last match. With that win, they’ve kept their hopes alive for the semi finals. Adelaide, however, have struggled with the bat. Even in the last game, if Madeline Penna didn’t had played a brilliant knock of 56, Adelaide had failed to reach even a 100. This performance won’t work against big teams. They would heavily rely on Tahila McGrath and Katie Mack to give them a good start. Laura Wolvaardt has been outstanding but the middle order looks too weak. Even though Strikers have a sleek batting, their boling has made up for it. Megan Schutt, Tahila McGrath, Darcie Brown and Sarah Coyte have been top class.
For Melbourne Renegades , they’ve now lost 7 off their 9 completed games.Sophie Molinuex, Josephine Dooley and Amy Sattherthwaite scored good runs in the last match yet Renegades could only manage 126 in their 20 overs. This shows that they don’t have enough depth in their batting. Courtney Webb played a match winning knock against Melbourne Stars but couldn’t back it up with another impactful knock. Melbourne Renegade’s bowling has been very disappointing. Molly Strano, Leeeson, Makinley Blows and Ella Hayward need to deliver exceptional performances to trouble Adelaide Strikers
