Our Pick Sydney Sixers are favourites to win
An out of form Brisbane Heat shocked the high flying Sydney Sixers in their previous match. While loss shouldn't be be of much worry for Sydney Sixers, it has made it certain that no matter how good a team you are on paper, you need to play good cricket to win the match.
Adelaide Strikers on the other hand too lost their last match to Perth Scorchers.
With 3 wins and 3 losses, there will some alarm bells ringing in the Strikers camp. Looking at the points table, it'll be a stiff fight between, Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Stars, Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers for the last two spots in the points table and Adelaide Strikers will know that a couple more losses can get their campaign into jeopardy.
There's no doubt that the match will be a close affair but who's the favourite to win the match
Read on our preview as Adelaide Strikers take on Sydney Sixers in the 25th match of the Big Bash League. The match will be played at the Carrara Oval and is scheduled to get underway at 7:15 PM local time.
3 wins, 3 losses, one can say that Adelaide Strikers are having a decent tournament but as we predicted in their last matches, their batting voews at some point will trouble them. Even after 6 games, there is not a single strikers batsmen that we can say is in good form.
Alex Carey top scored with 82 against Perth Scorchers but still Strikers could only manage 146 in their 20 overs.
Players like Jake Weatherald, Philip Salt, Matt Renshaw, Jonathan Wells, Matthew Short, all have been pretty disappointing. If Strikers don't improve their batting, many more losses are coming their way.
The bowlers should be credited for winning 3 matches for the team. Daniel Worrall, Wes Agar, Peter Siddle and Rashid Khan have been brilliant.
Sydney Sixers loss to Brisbane Heat shouldn't worry them much. The format of the game is such that you can't win every match and one bad performance doesn't make them a bad team.
In Josh Philippe, Daniel Hughes, James Vince, Jack Edwards, Dominic Silk, Daniel Christian, Carlos Brathwaite they have plenty of firepower in their batting.
Ben Dwarshius, Jackson Bird, Steve O'Keefe and Ben Manenti complete a very strong team.
Looking at both teams, Sydney Sixers are far more balanced and will definitely fancy their chances against Adelaide Strikers.

It's a very difficult ground to defend so both skipper might want to bowl first here.
It's a magnificent wicket to bat. The bounce is true which helps the batsmen to play big shots with ease.

Sydney Sixers have been very dominant in the tournament and even though they lost to Brisbane Heat in their last match we see them as a very strong team. They have plenty of depth in their batting which will test the Strikers bowling. Adelaide on the other hand will be very concerned about their batting that's been very inconsistent. As of now, based of the form of the teams, Sydney Sixers are clear favourites for the match
Wicket Keeper
Alex Carey and Josh Philippe at 9.5 are the best options. Carey is fresh from a brilliant 82 while Phillips too batted well for his 48 in the last game.
Batsmen
Jake Weatherald at 9.5, Daniel Hughes at 9 and Jordan Silk at 8.5 forms a decent batting order. Weatherald is the leading run scorer for the Strikers while Hughes has been in good form in the tournament. Silk look good in the last match.
All rounder
Daniel Christian at 9.5 and Carlos Brathwaite at 8.5 are our two all rounders. Christian smashed a 16 ball 50 the last time these two teams met while Brathwaite is also a very dangerous cricketer and add a lot of value to this Sixers squad.
Bowlers
Rashid khan at 9.5, Peter Siddle at 9.0, Ben Dwarshius and Jackson Bird at 8.5 will complete a balanced team. All the above mentioned bowlers have been performing really well for their respective teams.
Captain/Vice Captain
Alex Carey is our preferred captain while Daniel Christian is our vice captain
Batsmen:Jake Weatherald, Dominic Silk, Daniel Hughes
All Rounder:Carlos Brathwaite, Daniel Christian(VC)
Wicket Keeper: Josh Philippe, Alex Carey(C)
