Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 Schedule Announced, 1st match on 1st October

The president of Asian Cricket Council, Jay Shah has announced the schedule for the 8th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup. The 2022 edition is scheduled to kick-off on 1st October and the final match will take place on 15th October.

The hosts for the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, Bangladesh will play the opening match against Thailand at Sylhet International Cricket Ground. All the matches will take place at Ground 1 and Ground 2 of the SICS stadium. Bangladesh are the current champions having won their 1st ever Women’s Asia Cup title in 2018.

7 teams will participate in this year’s Women’s Asia Cup and a total of 24 matches will be played in round robin T20 format.

India vs Pakistan Women’s T20 Match Asia Cup 2022

The much-awaited clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan Women’s team is scheduled to take place on 7th October. Both these teams last faced each other in T20I in Commonwealth Games cricket when India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets.

As far as the head to head T20 stats are concerned, India is way ahead of Pakistan with 10 wins out of 12 T20I clashes and Pakistan won only 2 times.

With 6 titles out of 7 editions, India is the most successful team in the Women’s Asia Cup history.
