Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore are scheduled for a head to head contest on 5th April at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
After straight 4 head to head wins in the last 2 years by RCB, RR is looking forward to breaking the streak with their new and improved squad.
So far, Rajasthan Royals is the only team which has successfully ticked all the boxes with their fine batting, bowling and fielding.
RR opener Jos Buttler smashed the first century of the IPL 2022 in the last match against Mumbai Indians. RR skipper Sanju Samson along with Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer are looking in good touch.
In the bowlers unit, Rajasthan has given a totally new look by picking pacers Trent Boult, Navdeep Saini, Prasidh Krishna and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin.
Rajasthan was lacking in the bowling department in the previous seasons and now they have won both the matches by defending the total.

RCB is playing well so far in this season. In the first match, they lost to Punjab Kings but they played well setting a target of 211 for the opposition and PBKS batters were in a whole another mood. In the 2nd match RCB backed themselves up and defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 3 wickets.
Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell might make it to the playing 11 for this match as he has joined the camp on Friday. He will replace Sherfane Rutherford in the playing 11 due to the 4-player quota of overseas players. The team cannot afford to replace the in-form Sri Lankan all rounder Wanindu Hasaranga and England pacer David Willey.
Virat Kohli is currently in decent form and has the highest average so far in the team this season.
The void left by Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini’s absence is certainly difficult to fill but the new RCB bowling unit comprised of Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep, Harshal Patel, David Willey and Shahbaz Ahmed, performed well against KKR by restricting them to 128 only.
