The two teams have had a contrasting season so far. Rajasthan have emerged as one of the best teams in the competition, winning six of their eight games. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, are yet to win a single game after eight outings and are out of the playoffs contention. Rajasthan, this year, boasts of a quality squad which makes them a tough team to beat. Their dominance in the tournament can be understood by the fact that the Orange Cap holder (Jos Buttler) and Purple Cap winner (Yuzvendra Chahal are from the Rajasthan team. Mumbai lacks depth in their batting and their bowling looks bleak as well. It will be tough for Mumbai to edge past Rajasthan.
The team was on song in the last game and outplayed Bangalore. They are likely to stick with the same combination
Jos Butter, Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson form a strong top order for Rajasthan Royals. Buttler is in red hot form and is the holder of Orange Cap. Padikkal has also played a few good hands in the last couple of games. Sanju Samson has looked good but is still searching for a real big inning.
Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag will be the middle order batters. Hetmyer has played the role of a finisher to perfection, hitting some lusty blows towards the end of innings. Parag also justified his selection in the last game against Bangalore with a match-winning half century.
Daryl Mitchell and R Ashwin will be important all-rounders in the team. Ashwin has been used as a floater in the batting department where he can be promoted to any position to score quick runs. Mitchell played his first game against Bangalore and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the long run
RR have probably the best bowling lineup in IPL, with Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Sen and Yuzvendra Chahal at disposal. All bowlers are match-winners on their day. Chahal also holds the Purple cap.

Since Mumbai is out of the playoff race, they may now give their fringe players a go in the playing XI. Expect Mumbai to bring in Tim David, and Mayank Markande in the team.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Dewald Brevis will comprise the top order. Mumbai have struggled because of the poor form of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. Both players have been way below par. Brevis, however, has been played a few cameos
Tilak Varma, and Suryakumar Yadav will be the batters to follow. Both players have been among the few positives in a rather miserable season for Mumbai.
Tim David, Kieron Pollard and Hrithik Shokeen will be the all-rounders. Mumbai is likely to bring in David in place of Sams. While Pollard has been ordinary, he may just hold his place in the team. Shokeen has done well with the ball thus Mumbai will be keen to give him a long run.
Jaydev Undatkat, Riley Meredith and Jasprit Bumrah will be the bowlers. While Bumrah has been economical, he hasn’t picked a lot of wickets. The other two bowlers have looked ineffective so far.
