Pakistan has announced a 15-man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 and Netherlands Tour. Pacer Hasan Ali couldn’t find a place in the squad as Naseem Shah replaced him. The Netherlands tour will see a 3-match ODI series to start from 16th August.

The sensational fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is included in the squad. He is expected to recover as he missed the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka due to injury.

Pakistan will be in dire need of Afridi to play against India in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2022. The much-awaited India vs Pakistan clash will take place on 28th August at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

This year’s Asia Cup will feature a T20 format and will be a perfect warm-up for the Asian teams before the mega event Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup last year and ended their losing streak against India in the World Cups. They would want to carry on their winning streak against them this year as well.

Babar Azam led Pakistan squad will see 5 changes from the Netherlands ODI squad to Asia Cup 2022 squad.
