Match 6 Bangladesh vs Oman is set to take place on 19th October at Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman. The match is scheduled to commence at 7:30 PM IST, 06:00 PM LOCAL and 02:00 PM GMT.
The home team Oman had a dream start to their T20 World Cup journey with a 10-wicket win over Papua New Guinea. Balling first, Oman restricted PNG to 129 runs with skipper Zeeshan Maqsood leading the bowling attack taking 4 wickets. The opening pair Aqib Ilyas and power-hitter Jatinder Singh finished the job for Oman.
On the other hand, the much experienced Bangladesh lost to Scotland by 6 runs in their first encounter. Coming from back to back T20I series wins against Australia and New Zealand, it came as a shocker for Bangladesh to lose. But we won’t take anything away from the Scotland star all-rounder Chris Greaves who handed over the big win to the Scotland team.
It is an important match in Group B. If Oman wins the match then it will be easier for them to enter the super-12 stage and things will become difficult for the Bangladesh side to qualify further. Bangladesh is a strong T20I side but Oman also has leveled up their morale after their first win. Oman also has the home pitch advantage as well.
