The two teams had contrasting results in their tournament openers. While Mumbai lost comprehensively to Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals were too good for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both teams didn't play their full strength squad as a few key players were either unavailable or out due to injury. Let us look at the possible playing XIs for the teams in the next match, and if there will be any changes in their combination.
Suryakumar Yadav missed out on the first game due to an injury. He should be back in the team in all probabilities. Daniel Sams didn't have a great outing the other day and Mumbai might look to replace him with Fabien Allen.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav will comprise the top order. All three players are match-winners on their day. Ishan Kishan stroked a magnificent 81 against Delhi, while Sharma too looked good. Suryakumar Yadav will be keen to make an impact in the very first game.
Tilak Verma, Kieron Pollard and Tim David will be the next batters to follow. There's a lot of class and power in Mumbai's middle order. Pollard and David especially can decimate any bowling attack.
Daniel Sams had an off day against Delhi and it will be interesting to see if Mumbai stick with him or bring in a spinner in Allen. Sams might just retain his place owing to his batting skills.
Murugan Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills, Basil Thampi will be the four bowlers. Bumrah had an off day against Delhi and leaked runs at 12.9 runs per over. Murugan Ashwin was the best bowler as he took 2 wickets for 14 runs. He will be keen to continue his good run. Mills and Thampi will have to support the duo and stop the run flow.

There are some injury concerns in the Rajasthan camp as Nathan Coulter-Nile is not fully fit. James Neesham can replace him in the team.
Jos Butter, Yashasvi Jaisal, Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal form a strong top order for Rajasthan Royals. All of them were in fine form against SRH and contributed to the team's massive total. Samson especially was on song as went on to score 55 in 27 balls.
Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag will be responsible for maintaining the run rate in the middle overs. Both are very capable and can be hard to stop on their day.
Nathan Coulter Nile or James Neeshan will be a genuine all-rounder in the team. If Coulter Nile is fit, he should play ahead of Neesham. He perfectly complements the other bowlers by not giving much away. On the other hand, if Neesham plays, he will add a lot of strength to the batting as he is a big hitter.
RR have probably the best bowling lineup in IPL, with R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna and Yuzvendra Chahal at disposal. All were exceptionally good in the last game. There are no breathers for the opposition batters.
