After a series of disappointing performances from their bowling unit, Mumbai Indians has signed their former pacer Dhawal Kulkarni back to the squad for the remainder of the IPL 2022. According to the sources, Kulkarni has joined the team’s bio-bubble and will start practising soon.

This season, Kulkarni has been a part of the commentary team panel before he was approached by the Mumbai Indians.

Kulkarni is not new to the IPL, he has been part of the league since its first season in 2008. Since then, he has played for Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians.

The 33-year-old pacer has played 92 IPL matches so far and picked 86 wickets at an economy of 8.30.

He delivered his best performance in the IPL 2016 season, when he played 14 matches and grabbed 18 wickets at an average of 20.22.

Mumbai Indians is already out of the race for the play-offs and has set a record for losing the most number of matches in a row from the start of the season.

Their leading pacer, Jasprit Bumrah has conceded most runs (229 runs) among all the bowlers. Jaydev Unadkat has conceded 190 runs while Basil Thampi, Daniel Sams and Tymal Mills have conceded 152, 209, 190 runs, respectively.

The 5-time champions Mumbai Indians are surely having a nightmare season but would want to win the rest of the remaining matches for the respect of the franchise.
