Mumbai Indians Ropes In Kumar Kartikeya Singh To Replace Mohammad Arshad Khan

In the latest developments in IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians have roped in left arm spinner Kumar Kartikeya Singh to replace the injured Mohammad Arshad Khan.

Kumar Kartikeya Singh represents Madhya Pradesh at domestic level cricket. He has picked 35 wickets in 9 First Class matches, 18 wickets in 19 List A matches and 9 wickets in 8 T20 matches. In the First Class format, Kartikeya has the best bowling figures of 6/28 in an innings and 9/86 in a match. He also has an impressive economy of 5.37 in 8 T20 games.

Kartikeya was in the support staff of Mumbai Indians camp and the team feels confident about him.

A statement released by MI said, “Kumar Kartikeya is a slow left-arm bowler and has represented Madhya Pradesh across all three formats of the game since making his debut in 2018. Kumar Kartikeya has been impressive in the nets and his learning trajectory on improving and fine tuning his bowling skills have earned him the call up to the main squad.”

The team has signed Kartikeya for a price tag of INR 20 lakh.
