KL Rahul to miss the T20I series Against South Africa due to strain

In a sudden blow to the Indian team, KL Rahul has been ruled out of the 5-match T20I series against South Africa which is scheduled to commence on 9th June.

According to the reports, KL Rahul has picked a side strain and will not be able to play any of the 5 T20Is of the series.

In Rahul’s absence, the appointed vice captain for the series Rishabh Pant will be elevated as the Captain.

As the full-time skipper Rohit Sharma and other key players Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were rested for the series. KL Rahul was appointed as the captain to lead the squad which will feature the debutants Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh.
