Kolkata Knight Riders' campaign started on a positive note but five back to back losses have dented their hopes of making the playoffs. The team now needs to win all their games to harbour hopes of reaching the top 4. KKR's misery has been aided by the poor form of batters. Throughout the season, none of their batters has been able to deliver consistent performers. Meanwhile, the bowling, which has been their strength over the years, has also looked ordinary, with only Umesh Yadav doing well.
Meanwhile, RR have played brilliant cricket. They are second on the points table with six wins in 9 games. Even though they lost their last game to Mumbai, they will be high on confidence.
The wickers are getting slow and an extra spinner can be handy. With Russell not performing, KKR might bring in Mohammad Nabi in the team.
Aaron Finch and Venkatesh Iyer will open the innings, followed by Shreyas Iyer. Finch and Iyer have failed to give a solid start to KKR but the team doesn't have many options here. Shreyas Iyer has played a couple of good knocks but the team will need him to be a lot more consistent.
Nitish Rana, Babar Indrajith and Rinku Singh will be the batters to follow. Nitish Rana will hold the key in the middle order as Rinku Singh and Babar Indrajith are still untested under pressure.
Mohammed Nabi and Sunil Narine will give KKR two good spin bowling options. However, the team will expect some runs from them as well.
Umesh Yadav, Harshit Rana and Tim Southee will be the three pacers. Southee and Yadav have bowled well and have been one of the few positives for KKR this season.

Rajasthan looks a top team and most of their players are doing well. One can expect them to bring back Rassie van der Dussen in place of Daryl Mitchell.
Devditt Padikkal and Jos Buttler will open the innings. While Padikkal has been ordinary, RR will not be keen to replace him. Buttler, on the other hand, has been in red hot form. Sanju Samson will follow the batters. Samson has looked good but he hasn't played a real big knock.
Rassie van der Dussen, Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag will be the middle order batters. All are match-winners but can be inconsistent.
R Ashwin will be the specialist all-rounder. His bowling has been brilliant, while he has scored a few important runs as well.
RR have the best bowling attack comprising Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Sen. All have been pretty impressive as well.
