To level up their game, IPL 2021 runner-up Kolkata Knight Riders have signed former India bowling coach, Bharat Arun to take up the same duties in the KKR’s coaching staff.
Arun will take up the bowling coach duties from previous KKR coach Kyle Mills. Bharat Arun has trained many of the finest bowlers which are currently taking care of the Indian bowling unit which is feared by every international team.
Kolkata Knight Riders had a brilliant season in the last IPL outing. They were at the 7th spot on the table in the 1st leg of the season and then jumped from there to the final in the 2nd half. The 2-time IPL trophy winner was just an inch away from winning another title but was defeated by Chennai Super Kings, who won their 4th IPL title.
Regarding the inclusion of Bharat Arun to the team, KKR head-coach, Brendon McCullum, said, “A warm welcome to B Arun to the KKR coaching staff. With a strong and successful pedigree in the international game, I'm sure Arun will complement the current staff we have and I look forward to working with him.”
Bharat Arun has represented Tamil Nadu at domestic level and had played a few matches for India as well.
