Delhi Capitals will take on Lucknow Super Giants in Match 45th of the IPL 2022 on 1st may at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
DC is currently at the 6th spot on the table with 4 wins in 8 matches while LSG is at the 4th spot with 5 wins in 8 matches.
In the first head to head contest between DC and LSG, LSG won by 6 wickets chasing a target of 150. Quinton de Kock was adjudged as Player of the Match.
Prithvi Shaw got out on the first ball of the innings in the last match against KKR but he has been in the good touch lately. David Warner is delivering his good form and providing a good start to the innings.
Mitchell Marsh is back to the playing 11 after recovering. He couldn’t perform well in the last match but shouldn’t worry about losing his playing 11. Lalit Yadav is performing decently and scoring crucial runs. He went wicket less after picking 2 wickets against PBKS.
Much to everyone’s wait, Rovman Powell finally unleashed himself in the last 2 matches, especially against KKR. He was the key player to take DC towards the winning side.
Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are struggling to find more wickets but they will not be replaced at all.
Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman and Chetan Sakariya looked like a lethal combination for the KKR batting line-up. They ripped apart the batters and collectively picked 8 wickets. The team might go with these three for pace attack again.

Quinton de Kock lost his form a little in the last 2 matches but expected to bring it back in this match. He along with the in-form skipper KL Rahul, are one of the best opening pairs of this season.
Manish Pandey scored 22 off 22 in the last match. He might be included in the playing 11 again but he has to score bigger in the upcoming matches. Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni started off the season with good form but currently looked a bit struggling. Badoni bowled an over in the last match and picked a wicket.
Marcus Stoinis is taking his time in settling down but needs to perform to his potential soon. He is a player which provides a good balance in both batting and bowling. Krunal Pandya and Jason Holder are the first two all rounders of the team and they are performing pretty well. Krunal was pretty impressive with the bat and ball both in the last 2 matches.
In the last match, Dushmantha Chameera bowled 4 overs at an economy of 3.50, which helped restrict Mumbai Indians to 132.
Avesh Khan is expected to be back to the playing 11 after missing the last match due to a niggle.
