Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders will battle it out in Match 41 of the IPL 2022, on 28th April at Wankhede Stadium.
DC is at the 7th spot on the table currently with 3 wins in 7 matches while KKR is at the 8th spot with 3 wins in 8 matches.
In the first head to head between DC and KKR this season, DC defeated KKR by posting a target of 216 runs then restricting them to 171.
Both the DC openers Prithvi Shaw and David Warner are currently the top run scorers of the team. Warner smashed 3 consecutive 60+ scores before the last match.
Skipper Rishabh Pant also looks in good touch now. He scored 44 off 24 deliveries in the last match against Rajasthan Royals.
Rovman Powell showed his quality batting for the first time in the last match where he scored 36 runs off 15 balls. The team needs more of such innings from him.
Lalit Yadav has been pretty impressive this season. He has been scoring runs and picking wickets as well. In 7 matches, Yadav has scored 112 runs and picked 4 wickets at impressive economy of 7.38
Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur are not up to the mark in their performances but it won’t be easy to drop them. They are quality T20 players.
Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed are doing the job for the DC bowling department. Yadav has picked 13 wickets so far while Khaleel has picked 11 with his pace bowling.

Aaron Finch is expected to be back to the playing 11 after missing the last match. Venkatesh Iyer isn’t able to find his perfect form and is struggling a bit this season but he will not be dropped easily.
Skipper Shreyas Iyer is in good form, scoring 248 runs in 8 matches but he lacks support from other batters. Nitish Rana is in decent form but he isn’t batting up to his normal average.
Sheldon Jackson is not performing well but KKR has to opt him as the wicket keeper if they need Aaron Finch at the top order.
Among the all rounders, Sunil Narine is struggling this season but Andre Russell is surely making up for both of them. The West Indies all-rounder is in terrific form. He has scored 227 runs and picked 10 wickets so far.
The Pat Cummins or Tim Southee confusion is a big one for KKR now. Pat Cummins was eagerly awaited earlier while Tim Southee bowled till Cummins’ arrival. But now the stats show a different picture. Cummins has picked 4 wickets in 4 matches while Southee has taken 8 wickets in 3 matches and at a better economy rate than Cummins.
Shivam Mavi has taken a single wicket in each of the last 3 matches but he isn’t able to maintain a good economy.
Umesh Yadav is in good form and he is the leading wicket taker of the team but KKR spinners are certainly struggling this season.
