In the latest developments, it has been speculated that the Board of Control for Cricket in India is planning to organise IPL auction in mid-December for the IPL 2023 season. There are also other changes expected for the upcoming IPL auction.

The purse for all the teams will be exceeded from INR 90 crore to INR 95 crore. It is expected that the team purse can be exceeded to INR 100 crore in IPL 2024 edition.

As far as the auction is concerned, 16th December is currently the tentative date when the IPL auction can take place but will be confirmed in the coming months.

Among the top players in this year’s auction, we can look forward to the transfer of CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after the fall-out seen in the IPL 2022 season after he was appointed as the captain of the side.

Gujarat Titans are currently the reigning champions of IPL after winning their first ever IPL trophy in their debut season this year.

BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly has written to the state cricket association to inform that the next season of the IPL will be played in the home-away format which was the usual double round-robin format which was used in all seasons before 2 years.

BCCI will hold the Annual General Meeting on 18th October and there will be a list of items which will be discussed among which one of the biggest will be about the Women’s IPL, which has been a discussion for a year now and might finally gets it inaugural season next year.
