West Indies failed to end their losing streak and suffered a loss against New Zealand in the first T20I. Something is really wrong with this West Indies team as we have not seen them struggle so much, especially in T20Is. Earlier, they had lost the series to India and Bangladesh as well. The batters are not firing at all, which is the main reason for West Indies misery.
Meanwhile, the NZ continued their winning run and were comprehensive. They posted a healthy score of 185-5 before defending it quite easily and winning the match by 13 runs.
The wicket is slightly on the slower side and once the ball gets soft, it is not easy to hit big shots, especially against the spinners. However, once you get use to the pace and adjust to the low bounce, it becomes a lot easier to bat.
There is only two percent chance of rain on the match day and the temperature is expected to range between 31 to 24 degrees. The humidity level will be high at 79 per cent.
Kyle Mayers, Shamarh Brooks/Brandon King, Devon Thomas (wk), Nicholas Pooran (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Odean Smith/Akeal Hosein, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Obed McCoy, Hayden Walsh
Martin Guptill, Devon Conway (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult
West Indies can get in Brandon King and Akeal Hosein back in the team. Meanwhile, NZ pacer Trent Boult has opted out of NZ central contract, but he will be playing the West Indies series post which he will play only selective series.
New Zealand have dominated West Indies in T20I and have won twice more games than West Indies.

Devon Conway has been a sensation ever since he made his debut for NZ. Irrespective of the format, he has done well for the team. He made a comeback in the team after a break and scored 43 off 29 balls in the last game.
Kane Williamson too returned to the team and played a good hand of 47 off 33. Williamson is returning from an injury thus he will be eager to get some good performances behind him so that he can get his flow back.
Myers is not very consistent, but he plays a few good innings after every few games, as we saw in the India T20Is. He is due for a good score and thus we are having him in the team. His bowling is an added advantage.
Santner won the player of the match award in last game after bowling a spell of 3-19. This was not a surprise given how West Indies batters have struggled against spinners, and Santner is one of the best going around.
Obed McCoy can be selected in the team as there are chances of him picking wickets. The batters like to attack him and in return he can get some wickets.
