West Indies had a horrible outing against Bangladesh in their previous series as they lost all the three ODIs at home. They were bamboozled by the Bangladesh spinners as the team failed to post even 200 in any of the matches. West Indies need better batting performance else they would suffer the same fate against India as well.
Meanwhile, India defeated England in the last ODI series. The bowlers were on fire and played a big role in India winning an elite series in England. India too has some concerns in the batting as the top order has not been among the runs. However, the players are very experienced and will be keen to bounce back against West Indies.
The wickets in the West Indies vs Bangladesh series were very slow, almost like the wickets in the subcontinent. If that is the kind of wickets the teams will get for the coming series, we could have a low-scoring series once again.
The weather will be good for cricket with temperature of around 24 degrees. The rain is unlikely to play any spoilsport.
Ishan Kishan, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel/Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan
Shai Hope (wk), Brandon King, Shamarh Brooks, Keacy Carty, Nicholas Pooran (c), Rovman Powell, Kyle Myers, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Gudakesh Motie, Alzarri Joseph
Indian team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan as Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant have been rested from the series. West Indies, on the other hand, have recalled Jason Holder for the ODIs.
The numbers say that it’s an even contest between India and West Indies but in the last two decades India have dominated the West Indies.

Suryakumar Yadav was India’s best batter on the England tour. He scored a century in the T20Is and played a couple of cameos in ODIs. He is a batter in form and has to be in the team.
Shai Hope is arguably the best West Indies batter. He is technically correct and is one player who likes to play long innings. He is a good bet from the West Indies team.
West Indies have recalled veteran all-rounder Jason Holder for the ODIs. He is one of the best players from the country and has plenty of experience behind him. His skills with the bat and ball are second to none and he is a match winner on his day.
Jadeja had a successful tour of England. While he didn’t get many wickets, he was brilliant with the bat. If the pitches are supportive of spinners, Jadeja can be lethal.
The WI vs BAN series saw the spinners dominating the West Indies batters. Yuzvendra Chahal is in good form and if the wickets are anything like the ones we saw in the BAN series, he will have a very good series.
Dream11 Captain – Suryakumar Yadav
Dream11 Vice Captain – Ravindra Jadeja
